Los Angeles French Academy provides an Art program at Richland Elementary School for all grades. Students learn new artistic skills and concepts, and create unique and collaborative pieces using a large range of mediums.  At the end of the school. year, all students participate in the Annual Art Show.

Students study the history of art, practice art criticism and express their opinion on visual objects. Most of the projects are inspired by artists' works and techniques from the Antiquity to the Contemporary era. The program follows the US standards for art education and is fully taught in French during a weekly 45 minute sessions.

The Teacher - la professeure: Madame Christelle
Christelle is the director and owner of Los Angeles French Academy. She has been a French & Art teacher for over 12 years and is active in the French community of Los Angeles. She is a mom of 2, loves art, sewing, dancing, singing and traveling! She has a degree in Law and Political Science from the University of Montpellier, France, but chose to be a clothing designer after graduating, betting on her artistic skills over a career in Law. As a self- taught seamstress and entrepreneur, Christelle handmade wedding dresses and corsets for 10 years for international clients.

Her passion for educating children was born in Los Angeles when she started working at France Exchange School, founded by Gislène Lassan. She learned from her mentor and experienced colleagues. She developed a love for education, working with her heart first, using all of her skills and is now dedicating 100% of her time to the children; the most authentic and rewarding mission she has ever chosen.
